I'm listening to Thom Hartmann listing all the companies offering travel expenses for abortion and giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Attorney Generals Association that are planning on the next attack on our privacy rights. WTFU! What I'm not seeing is making a connection to how we got here and relating it to fickle selfish voting habits of the Democrats and Progressives. WE HELPED THIS HAPPEN by not taking voting seriously enough not just to elect a candidate but to stop the fucking fascists by voting for their opponents! Enough with the personality voting and time to understand voting as part of a strategy to stop the fascists. People are not morally exempt because they didn't participate. The 2 stupidest words in politics is "protest vote" Did the GOP invent this phrase because it has worked for them more than it has worked for us.

My congratulations to all the husbands of wives or fathers of the daughters that will be raped and impregnated by their rapist, congrats! You’re gonna be a Daddy again with all the joy and fuss that goes with that. Mom, know you think you are tired after a day at work and house cleaning but your husband and other kids will pick up the slack. Don’t worry. They are going to be so excited about the new baby sister or brother (maybe twins!) that they will pitch-in as usual. This rape brought new unexpected joy into your lives. How very special.
Thanks for the reminder that rebelling against the status quo requires sacrifice. The current GOP relies on the low information and bigoted to obtain regressive policies socially. DEMS need a reminder that the perfect is an enemy of the good. The high road needs an off ramp or we will be spinning our wheels (in mud) in the not to distant future.
Is there anyplace online that I can place a bet that Clarence Thomas is the source of Eastman's crackpot legal strategy? He & Ginni would not act out if as they have been doing if they didn't have his blessings. I can't decide whether or not he wants to be the most powerful Uncle Tom/Oreo in white Christian nationalist history or a protégé of Papa Doc. I do know from watching his confirmation hearings that he has always tainted SCOTUS. Now he's in good company w/ the Trump-tainted Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, & ACB.
The GOP played a long game, starting with Reagan. now we have a minority party in control using evangelism as their Ace. Their focus is strictly on taking control and funneling more $$$ to their/our corporate masters. All minorities are being marginalized. The SCOTUS is corrupt, partisan and moving full speed ahead to trash any progress we've made since the Civil Rights/Women's Rights and LGBT rights movements. Democrats need to vote and try to move Independent voters in our direction. This is only the beginning....
I would like to see the western state governors, particularly, Washington (my state) California, and Oregon. Colorado and Nevada as well to band together and pull their constituents tax money from the fascists and just say, we are not going to contribute to fascism. I don't care about the laws, hell the GOP don't care about laws as we all have witnessed. We've got to go bold and hit the GOP where it counts. MONEY, their real God. The red states rely heavily on big blue cities, we must get them to understand that. For instance, when the Texas GOP talks about seceding from the nation. We need to go hard and tell them, Ok GOODBYE we get our money back! Democrats are trying so hard to be "normal," nothing is normal anymore. They want to be crazy, we gotta be crazy too!

Haven't been able to sleep or concentrate since Friday---my heart breaks for all the women who either cannot terminate an unwanted pregnancy, or have to go to great lengths to travel to do so.

Yes, we need to vote these barbarians out of office, but women need help RIGHT NOW. I'm grateful that my state (CA) is ready to help women in need and draft state legislation to ensure abortion rights.
