I'm also hoping Santos takes an involuntary trip to Brazil.

The Santos fabulist show is an ongoing sideshow presently on hold, while the surreal voting for the Majority Speaker of the House becomes the current "main event". I had a daydream that had 2 aspects to it, one.... that the Repugnants humiliating public showing climaxes in their overnight decision to abandon McCarthy, Jordan & Scalise et al, & select someone from outside the House (& that IS a legal option) & that "freedom "caucus forces the selection of their own "Messiah"....Donald J Trump as the Majority Speaker!! The second daydream was that the GOP can't make the required majority numbers and the Democrat's Hon.Hakeem Jeffries becomes the Majority Speaker of the House.....with the farcical, lack of GOP strategy and the ignorance of the radical members....anything is possible...let my daydream become my reality !!!
As a Canadian I was a little confused as to who could vote for the leader of the house. Was it only the Republicans or could everybody vote? When I discovered that everyone could vote, I thought why don't a few Democrats give McCarthy the number of votes he needed to put him over the top? That way the 20 (?) Freedom Caucus would have no sway over McCarthy and as leader of the house, he determines who gets to sit on the many house committees. Without being "beholdin'" to that small group, he could effectively sideline them.
Well -- the truth is he cannot be trusted. Democrats could never go by his word and he's one of them -- he voted to overturn the election. This GOP is not "moderates" vs. far-right. It's far-right (most of whom are election deniers) vs. extremists and terrorist apologists.
Like the GOP in general, no bottom is too low for this guy. Your further revelations iced the cake regarding the usefulness he would have been if the sociopathy weren't exposed. I arrived home to the 3rd McCarthy failure to secure leadership votes, the inmates have taken over the asylum.

As someone who has struggled with weight most of my life, I take schadenfreude delight in seeing his weight fluctuate up. Among many other things, Santos is a clear poster child for stress eating.
