Plain and simple the Democrats should be running an ad showing the Confederacy and Jim Crow era brutality and say Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema are standing with this and the Republicans. Why are tow Democrats standing with those who oppose Voting Rights? Simple ad

I think calls to Senators are a must! Michaelangelo: Any possibility to put the Senate phone number here? Also, more importantly, I hope all has or will go well for you this week!

It's worth killing the filibuster to save our right to vote. Otherwise, we hasten the demise of Democracy. Grow a pair, Democrats!

Hate to say it, but it may be too little too late. We all know that corporations run this country, they have all the money and and power, and they have paid off Senators on both sides to drag their feet on anything that might cost their precious monopolies. This is the main reason why things that are proposed to actually help citizens are blocked due to the money being tied to corporate taxes being raised (Manchinema have so much said so in their objections). Capitalism raised to a level which will, eventually be untenable. God help us all, we are going to need something bigger than anything we've ever seen to save this country, I fear.

My only fear in ending the filibuster is that it is looking likely that the Republicans will take the House and THEY will benefit from this.

A bit hypocritical of Sen. Mike Lee to criticize the Democrats of doing a power grab when the Grand Old Confederates have been doing the exact same thing over the past 10 years. And what's with the movie references? Sounds like the GOCers are borrowing from the alt-right YouTube playbook in which they base their politics entirely on works of fiction, especially The Matrix.

Agree, Rick. I am sick and goddamned tired of the Democratic party having no backbone. I am also supremely disappointed that the only people who are fighting on our side with the kind of fire and testosterone it takes to stave off fascism are sitting Republicans like Cheney and Kinsinger or the former Republicans of the Lincoln Project. They understand the bastards and redneck fascists who have taken over their party better than we do. And with Caspar Milquetoast Garland running Justice I am not expecting strength from the DOJ. Somebody has to get religion, and right quick.

Actually Cheney and Kinsinger are 100% opposed to both pieces of Voting Rights Legislation and are doing a damn to to save democracy anymore than the Democrats on the Jan 6th Committee. I damn tired of seeing Democrats and Liberals praise Cheney and Kinsinger for doing exactly WTF they should be doing and EVERY Democrat is doing but only 2 Republicans. The former Republicans of the Lincoln Project also are not doing a damn thing to end the filibuster or to save Voting Rights. Merrick Garland is a Republican ..He was suggested for the SC position by none other than Orrin Hatch so why is everyone surprised he slow AF? Nope I'm not about to pat Cheney or any other of these lowlife Republicans who did everything in their power for years to turn this country into a fascist/corporate / warmongering regime and then only want to put on the brake when open sedition takes place. F Cheney just because she chose to do the right thing now on this one issue doesn't mean she deserves any praise or made some sort of fascist fighting hero...She just joined the Democratic team that has been sounding the alarm for years

Even though Cheney & Kinzinger criticize tRump, they voted for his policies 99% of the time. So much for them being heroes!!

Well, if you want to know what I really think ... we are already totally and seriously fucked. If you haven't already purchased a firearm to provide minimal protection against what's coming, you might a want to think about it.

I understand your feelings, but I've never owned a gun and never will. I won't fight hordes of right wing lunatics. I'm not naive, and I believe I may live out the rest of my 'golden years' under an authoritarian (Republican) government. The Democrats are just too weak (or complicit) to do anything about it.

I bought 2 guns in 2017 after I was verbally assaulted on two separate incidence while walking in my neighborhood by White guys driving trucks...One shouted the N word at me, my wife and daughter as he drove by and we just gave him the finger. The other was quite different as a guy drove by me gave me the finger I give it back and he turned around to I guess confront me. He asked me if I like living in the neighborhood. Which is about 70/30 White mostly middle to upper middle income people where I have lived since 2006. I asked him if he liked living period. I proceeded to tell hmm I'm a grown ass man and I don't answer questions. He said you N words are trying to take over the neighborhood and that was BS. I looked at him and told him he's a little bitch and if he thinks he can change it all he needed to do was get out of his truck. He replied that I didn't really want him to get out... I said I here out in the open not going anywhere... If he had an issue with me he should be a man and get out of his truck and I also aid he Dad was an N Word and that makes his mother an N word lover...LOL He still never got out of the truck and he drove away still cursing..After that I bought 2 guns..Never kept guns in the house before that...I don't like violence but I believe in standing my ground...I served in the military and received an honorable discharge...Oh of course his truck had the MAGA bumper sticker on it...I ain't taking no shit from no wannbe fascist/Republican ....These right wingers thing they bought the last gun or that when they bought there's they stopped making them.... let them think that..
