Doug Jones has so much integrity and I was happy to have him on my show from when no one thought he could win against Roy Moore. I think we should never sit out a race, and always have a great candidate. And he is certainly one.
The only one so far in the way now that this GOPer Merrill is out of the picture, is none other than horrible racist Mo Brooks. Which I hope Doug Jones will have a better chance this time since the dumb morons who voted for Tuberville won't have an incentive because Mo wasn't a football coach.

When Republicans went after former President Clinton, they opened the flood gates to their own hypocrisy. Both parties have had their share of sex scandals, however, it is always hilarious when Republicans show their true selves. Those Family Values Evangelical Christians with their pious interference in other people’s private lives comes back to haunt them.
The GOP hypocrisy is incredible, yet the ultra conservatives still love to vote for them, regardless of their sinful ways. Here in Florida, the GOP focuses on voter suppression, stopping peaceful protests and other nefarious activities. Meanwhile, their perverse lifetimes come to the forefront and nobody seems to care. They are slippery slime balls for certain.
So I think Gaetz is a self-aggrandizing brute and Merrill is a silly hypocrite; and that is separate from their politics and social stances which I find repugnant.
However...
Gaetz not only has NOT been found guilty of anything, but he has also not been charged with anything.
The left is conflating sex with a 17 year old with sex trafficking (and for the latter, it was the associate who might be more guilty). While I think it is likely he asked for a Pardon, Trump denied it. So there is currently (to paraphrase Gertrude Stein) "no there, there."
And by these words, I do not intend to suggest temperance by the left, but a warning.
I fear this is all going to backfire. Three weeks into this and no charges. I hope I am wrong but I fear this will backfire.
Aside from that... "I Love Lucy?" OK, I can see Lucy -- I can let that go. (The Loving Cup on her head on the Subway and I still laugh to this day. ) But the "Andy Griffith?" Does he not have a clue that in that show, in the south, there were no black people? Now that is naive and racist.
“Gunsmoke,” “Bonanza,” “The Virginian,”? Hehehehe.
Investigations go on for a long time with no charges -- I would just as well point out that the investigation hasn't be closed, far from it. We now have his friend Greenberg pleading guilty and cutting a plea, likely cooperating in exchange for more information. We'll see if there are no charges. No one is confusing sex trafficking with sexual assault of minor -- certain I'm not.
However, "young" women are not "underage" women and there is no evidence in the article that it was across state lines. It all smacks of conflated issues. And it now comes down to a disagreement between Greenberg and Gaetz.
I hope you are right and I hope I am wrong--very much. However, right now, I continue to have a growing feeling that this is guilty by "implied" accusation (not even a formal charge), and that frightens me, more, despite how much I despise Gaetz.
Also, I continue to feel this is going to backfire and make him stronger. And I hope I am wrong here, too.
As for prostitutes, I couldn't care less if he paid for them, male or female.
