Let’s not forget that “undecided” or “fragile”voters will be bombarded & possibly influenced by Barr’s “allegations” & the GOP “investigations” into anything that may hurt the Democrats. Already this week ,we have Durham, Barr’s special investigator, securing a guilty plea from a former FBI lawyer for altering an email with regard to the Russia probe, and Barr’s promised to reveal other investigation results this Friday. He has also revealed that he will publicly announce in October more “damaging” details that he hopes will support tRump’s Russia “hoax” interference. Barr has said he will not reveal any negative details of the presidential nominees during an election cycle in adhering to the DOJ policy, but do you trust Barr? The timing of Cohen’s book release will be crucial in helping to offset the barrage of the Barr/GOP “investigations” results, most will be trivial but tRump and his GOP allies will amplify and exaggerate everything, and we already know how voters are often gullible. We, the People need to apply pressure to save the USPS from the GOP sabotage , to ensure that we have record breaking voting, resulting in a massive Biden win to save this country.

Dear all, this is not normal. Please take a sec and think about it. What true American would do so much harm to Americans, to the country? This man is insane. He is a total Russian Puppet and Dictator-wanna-be. The revelations from Cohens about his cheating the elections with Russians help and doing whatever takes to remain in power, it is mind-blowing! He is attacking, destroying America from the inside out. Just like Daddy Vlad, he is weaponizing the U.S. Gov. to suppress our votes, it is up to us to defend the constitution and the United States of America!

I wonder if there’s anything the Supreme Court could do to file a cease and desist about what they are doing against the USPS.

Michaelangelo - thank you so much for keeping us sane, alert and with the morale up with all this crazy $hitshow. Everyday I look forward to listening to your show, God bless you Sir!

I think his messing with the postal service was the last straw, and that people are awake now.

Trump is like a captured insect in a box: Running from corner to corner, frantically and tragically trying to escape. Putin doesn’t give a crap about him even though Trump so desperately wants his substitute father’s approval and help with fixing his screw-ups like his real father did. Now Trump is left with a myriad of imbeciles to help him but they’re incapable of doing so.

I’m going to keep hope alive that we still have enough honorable people in our government who are working behind the scenes to ensure Trump’s increased desperation antics are thwarted and the man is removed from office when he loses in November.

This is just more noise to add to the last 3 years plus. No matter how much evidence that piles up, no matter how many facts or deaths he and the administration gets away with everything. No one is doing anything about it. Why don’t the dems impeach him again. Of invoke the 25th amendment. Congress can’t do anything. So now we have to pray he loses in a landslide along with many other fascists in his cult. It’s getting worse. Everyday. The dems are still spineless and aren’t doing anything. Where are the ads spreading fear from them. Or making things up on interviews like they do. Why do they keep playing nice. It’s not going to work. This devil and his followers in the senate and congress all need to be attacked with add interviews and everything to get them out. If he stays in power we will become Belarus officially. All is noise now. Nothing is happening.

But he is losing. Losing thousands of American lives to covid19. But, then again he doesn't care. Everyday I wake up for the past 2 weeks hoping my son's case doesn't get any worse than it is. I am even angrier now.

Since the sabotage of the great USPS is the hot topic today, here’s an aspect overlooked in the coverage of this latest outrage, and it dovetails with the expiration of the CARES Act and its weekly stimulus monies and prohibition on evictions.

The administration and its acolytes in the Senate are flat-out risking the already-fragile economy; these acts are very much putting us at risk of a Greater Depression.

Let’s look at two things: the $600 weekly Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, and the USPS. First, that $600/week has literally kept the economy afloat, by going directly to mortgage and rent payments, utilities, groceries, pharmacies, and car payments (a partial but vital list). That’s gone and the Senate is on vacation...

Second, the USPS sabotage. It’s not merely that the goal is twofold: to cripple the ability of the USPS to handle the anticipated Vote at Home balloting, and to set it up for privatization.

Here’s the other problem not being discussed that I’ve seen: the USPS is another engine of our already-fragile economy. Billing and bill payment are two major aspects of the mail delivery. There are already reports of late bills and late bill payments, and potential dings to people’s credit ratings. The USPS is also the largest unionized workforce in the country, some 600K strong. I can’t begin to list all of the types of mail delivered by the USPS, that e-Commerce is largely dependent on the USPS for package delivery. We’ve all heard about the delays in prescription drug shipments.

Bottom line: the administration and Senate Republicans are risking a full-blown Depression with their refusal to pass or amend the HEROES Act passed by the House in May, and their savaging of the USPS.

The late news is that the USPS will postpone the removal of mail boxes until after the election. Make no mistake, the sabotage is continuing, with or without removing mail boxes.

A lot of good questions, Rick.

A couple more things about the USPS sabotage. First, what they’re doing to the USPS is actually the opposite of what rational civil servants should be doing during this or any other pandemic — they should be assuring the viability of the USPS as a vital public service, shoring it up, e.g. funding it to make sure that service is unimpeded and uninterrupted. Also, it is yet another violation of the Faithful Execution Clause of the president’s delineated constitutional duties, and therefore another impeachable offense.

It’s also possible that Trump knows he’s going to lose, and without another wrecking-ball term he’s doing as much damage now while he can — while also helping him to cheat in the election, too. Privatizing the USPS has been a Conservative wet dream for decades, he’s wrecking it while he can, and from his perspective he may as well do it before the election as opposed to after. A two-fer.

I think that when all the votes are in on election night and confirmed that 45 has lost, his so called friends and cronies will give him their asses to kiss. Everyone is going to distance themselves from him to save themselves, and he won't be able to do any more damage. A major loss will be a reality check to 45 and to the Republican party that allowed this mad man to run havoc in our government.

I agree with your summation. Reading Cohen's passages once again, while I personally dislike speculation, and perhaps the book provides more detail or context, but I can't help but wonder what Cohen seems to be suggesting is lacking in the un-Constitutional. anti-democratic, immoral, unethical, and likely, unlawful actions of McCarthy, Graham, Barr, Kushner, Johnson, McConnell, Cruz, and Kennedy...to name the worst of the nightmarish members of what used to be a government. What worse steps would Cohen have taken? That thought is quite chilling.
