I’m very concerned about what happens outside the Convention. I hope the Gaza protesters understand that if they go too far, they’ll be helping Trump, thereby condemning Palestinians (and Israelis) to a far more horrific fate, just as the 1968 anti-war chaos outside the Chicago Democratic Convention actually helped PROLONG the Vietnam War for years, by hurting Democratic nominee Hubert Humphrey and therefore helping Richard Nixon secure his victory.
Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump or Putin (or even Foxnews) placed agitators among the Gaza protesters, to try to incite the violence of Chicago 1968, in Chicago 2024.
Yes and yes. Protesters have to realize a Harris/Walz administration will listen bc they want an end to the suffering, while Drumpf would let “Bibi” have his way. Also, republicons will surely add agitators to the protesting crowd bc they play dirty and have no shame. And they know viewers won’t know the difference.
