It really shouldn't be close at all, there is no choice for reasonable people. An articulate, intelligent, conscientious, energetic, successful person with a vision for moving America forward in excellent ways vs. a convicted felon who instigated a lethal insurrection against the country/Constitution he took an oath to protect as well as defying the espionage act with the theft of top secret documents and who has nothing to offer America except cozying up to dictators, advancement of white supremacy, division and tax cuts for the very wealthy.

During Democrats, lower & middle class increase standard of living. During Republicans, billionaires become richer and lower and middle class Americans needs are ignored. That's a fact.

Imagine wearing these t-shirts in a red state 👇 🤣

Now, let's hope Democrats and other people with morality and common sense get out and vote. Let's get this done!

And independents and sane republicons too.

Texas Dems have been fighting hard. Cruz is deeply unpopular and with Presidential turnout… I have been saying it for months, Cruz is in big trouble.

We need an all out effort on the “money” front to support Allred, Mucarsel-Powell, Kunce and all of Democratic senate candidates, in addition to spending in Iowa, which could turn into another purple state. We’ve surely raised enough funds by now to do that.

Locally I’d like to see candidate for Congress John Avlon in commercials. His republicon incumbent opponent is on the air every day saying he’s the “bipartisan” one and depicting Avlon negatively. First impressions make a difference.

To be clear, the only reason Mike Johnson passed a bill to avoid a government shutdown is because he knew that a forced shutdown would be blamed on the Republicans and likely result in a triple whammy for them. Thankfully also the Democrats are now focusing on the Senate races in Texas and Florida which they have a shot at winning.

Right, because they’re weak and worried

Yup. The thing that concerns most politicians is their political survival. Even the wealthiest cling to the power of holding office. It always amuses me when people try to assign some kind of motive other than staying in office for the choices politicians make. How many times have I seen people who think the Republican elected officials will take a principled stance and end up out of power as a result. In this case a government shutdown or bucking Trump is a choice between which one will damage them the most politically and has nothing to do with principles. Unfortunately, some of us on the left believe in being a martyr for a single issue as well and is worth losing an election over. 2016 is the best example of falling into a moral purity trap encouraged by Russians to reject Hillary.

You've got to appreciate the blatant bastardization of Religion by Republicans of every stripe and level (most recently by Mike Johnson and Clay Higgins) to excuse personal and professional transgressions.

"I did this really terrible thing, but then I prayed and God told me that everything is hunky-dory."

And millions of supposedly God-loving voters buy this bullshit every time.

It’s terrifying that we could lose all of these states and the Senate. Is everyone scared to talk about Trump‘s criminality and the fact that he’s only not in jail because of the Supreme Court?

As you clearly pointed out, no words such as he’s a danger he’s dangerous any words that show or give him strength because he feeds off of it but using words only to show his weakness. That is a fantastic and phenomenal strategy. She has thrown him so much off of his game so much that he’s spinning around so much I’m surprised he hasn’t fall down from being dizzy. Her campaign, her staff and her advisors are doing amazing job. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Make him smaller really works. That’s the way bullies get defeated.

Behind the big screen is a weak, feeble old man with a megaphone-another lesson from “Wizard of Oz.”

It’s apparent to me that the Trump campaign uses his “soft” targets to make his illusions blanket them with bullshit.

I’m still waiting..waiting to meet or hear a current conservative in elected office denounce MAGA.. No leadership in that MAGA party, loyalty greater than what we see in North Korea.. when did the GOP turn into a bunch of 🙀🙀 unable to stand up to their own racists, anti Semites, anti LGBQ, anti woman and women’s health care, reducing benefits of Social Security and Medicare and never admitting guilt and lying all the time? It’s Gish Gallop day in and day out… I’m worn out folks.

Whilst I will not get my hopes up for Texas and Florida senate seats, it is good to spend some money there, as that will force the R's to invest, and take money from the rest of the country. Good strategy, and maybe it is time for Cruz to get his ass handed to him.

Democrats should have been on offensive decades ago; if they did they wouldn't have needed a woman to clean the mess they, indirectly, helped gqp to make. Glad they finally realized that one can't play compliant partner to alleged corrupt, cfoligarchs owned traitors of democracy.

It's a sadly pathetic that the real victims, the ordinary Americans suffered, and adding insult to injury, have to help Democrats to get out and save the democracy.
