Retired Army Major General Randy Manner spoke bluntly about Trump and Hegseth gathering generals from around the world this week and telling them they will take on "the enemy within."
Thank you Michael for the interview with Retired Major General Randy Manner. I was reassured that the General expressed the concerns I felt about the whole “affair” of demanding our senior officers come to Quantico for the political presentation. The expense and risk involved were stupid to be blunt considering that there is no money for basic services needed by taxpayers.
More appalling was the presentation by Pete Hegseth. As the General stated, Hegseth seemed to be advocating for the American military to adopt an attitude that was more reminiscent of the Russian military.
The brutality of the Russians is infamous and has been for a century.
That is not what the American military should strive to emulate.
I will never forget talking to WW2 survivors from Germany who told me that they prayed the American soldiers reached them before the Russians.
What the world has witnessed in Ukraine should have reminded us that Hegseth and Trump are absolutely WRONG about the direction of our military. Respect comes from honor - not cruelty.
If actions must be taken so be it - but willful cruelty should not be tolerated or allowed. We made that mistake as a nation before, during Bush 2.0 and it lowered our respect among other nations.
We are at a time of testing again. The American President has somehow been convinced that anyone who didn’t vote for him is the enemy within. No one from his party is standing up to him. Our military is what the American people must rely on to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States.
Fascism pure and in our faces. Arrest him and hold him for trial along with his totally unqualified cabinet of psychopaths
He’s retired. He can say that. I’m waiting for someone who is not retired or leaving office to speak out loudly, and not be nice about it.
Thank you Michelangelo! Keep up the great work.
Thank you for doing and sharing this interview. Certainly give us current insight into the minds of our military leadership. Damn scary tho.
I look forward to the day I can say “unbelievable” once again.
Senate leader Thune has the power to END SHUTDOWN JUST BY 50 Repub votes! Mitch McConnel changed the rules SEVERAL TIMES to pass a partisan CR!
Why doesn’t Thune know this???
He does and he chooses to hand ALL CONGRESSIONAL POWER TO TRUMP?!
Dems are demanding to RELEASE EPSTEIN FILES and put the convicted pedo Ghislaine back to regular prison and outta of VIP treatment trump gave her
But repubs are choosing to COVER UP for trump billionaire donors instead.
Very good interview. This gives more insights into protocols etc at that chilling event.
