Thanksgiving Day thread: Have a happy one!
I'm thankful for all of you and many more who stopped the red wave. In a dangerous time, people are standing up and fighting back. That's a great thing.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
I know a lot of you will be having a great day with family and friends. And I also know some of you will be dealing with a lot of tension, because some family and friends are MAGA.
I know this because many of you call my SiriusXM show each year and talk about the struggles — the ongoing family battles, what you’re planning this year in dealing with relatives at the Thanksgiving table who are wrapped in in the Trump cult and can’t leave it all at home. Or some of you talk about just not going any more or inviting those people over.
So yeah, if you want to talk about those stories and what’s going on, please tell us how you’re coping and what you’re doing. Others will connect, trust me!
But also, it’s a day of giving thanks and I want to say I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who fought hard in the 2022 midterm — in an environment in which media had set a narrative of GOP massive victory in stone — to stop the GOP’s red wave. It broke with history and it was because people knew we were fighting for our rights and our lives.
In the end, it turned out to be a red trickle, if even that. Democrats retained the Senate — and let’s please drive it home and win Georgia for Raphael Warnock! Having 51 seats will be critical.
In the House, McCarthy has a very narrow majority and they’re already at each others’ throats. Let that continue!
So thanks for all the work so many of you did, and to the many others out there — the majority of Americans — who fought for democracy and against authoritarianism.
It’s still a dangerous time, and the forces of fascism are not giving up. So we’ll have to stay energized. But this is definitely a day and a weekend of relaxation, taking a break, getting recharged and being thankful.
Again, have a great one. And please weigh in with your thoughts and comments.
