Obstruction is ALWAYS the name of game with the GOP. It is high time that we do what the people want and they spoke to the tune of 7 million more votes! Do it by reconciliation which is the same method Cheetolini used to get his worthless tax cut through. And we need more justices to balance balance SCOTUS, while we're at it!

I truly hope the Dems and Biden will shrug off the Republicans' BS and get to business. As you say, they have the majority of the American people on their side and people are hungry for real solutions and not everything going to Big Business and fucking oligarchs TV preachers.

I believe that Biden's pledge to unity was in large measure meant to be counterpoint to the most egregious practices of the former president. Over the last 4 years, blue states and red states were treated differently. Florida could expect excellent prioritized assistance, but it would be weeks before the California wildfires were even acknowledged. Lots of other blatant and open examples where it was clear that blue states were considered enemies.

Biden was saying, in part, that he wasn't going to do that, that he was going to have the best interests of everyone. I don't think he was saying that he was always going with public consensus in the polls, even though in this case what he wants is widely popular. Nor was he saying anything about bipartisanship, at least not about honoring the purely obstructionist practices of the Republicans, who should be booed off the stage. He was saying that his initiatives would help everyone equally, even les déplorables.

Great article Micheal. Thank you for your insight. I am glad to hear Democrats in the Senate are finally growing a pair. We have been stymied for the last 12 years. Enough is Enough!

I’ve joined you because I really enjoy and believe very much in your voice and passion. I’ve sent you a clip from Dr. Eddie Glaude on Nicole Wallace on MSNBC. I have to stand this up as a comment. Please consider having him as a guest or a forum . It’s very deep what he‘s saying and I think, from listening to you for so long... that you do too.

Really enjoyed your interview with Jen Bendery on Monday's show regarding judges. Learned a lot and particularly enjoyed the story about the judge who put in her resignation only 90 mins after the Inauguration. Hope you have her back on in a few months to discuss how far along Biden's gotten with his judges.

Two small additional points that you've brought up before on the show but that weren't in the interview:

1. Several of Trump's own judges turned down his lawsuits / requests for recounts, which we all enjoyed hearing about every time it happened. I wonder if Jen's point that Trump left all the judgeships up to McConnell and The Federalist Society and didn't really know or care about the judges had an impact on those judges not coming to his rescue (and/or he just had bad luck in his cases not going to truly loyal Trumpers).

2. Biden said at some press conference that not only is he going to fill all the vacant seats, but that he is going to explore creating new judge positions in various areas because the court system is overwhelmed throughout the country. Of course we know that, although yes that's true they're overwhelmed, the other reason is obviously to try and counterbalance all the Trump judges with liberal or left-leaning ones!

Let’s ensure Biden and his team stay strong with his real stimulus package, call your representative and let them know that “time is of the essence” and this bill needs to pass NOW. It is imperative that the Democrats widely communicate to the voters what the stimulus package will do to assist their lives and what obstruction/stalling tactics the Repugnants have planned in an attempt to make their suffering worse.
