So typical, they know they can't win elections without kowtowing to the moron Repugnican, racist base. It never ceases to amaze me that the people screaming the loudest in the South about the border are poor white and most likely on welfare. They certainly aren't out looking for jobs. The refugees will, for the most part, work very hard and are grateful to get a job, even at the lower wages they are paid. What a world we live in!

Thank you for saying this, Michael.

I think the realization for me that they were all onboard (either actively or passively) for the end of democracy started after the first impeachment.

There’s no other way to explain their decisions against logic, truth, the law & America’s best interests. They know they can’t continue to hold power as a party (with their current billionaire-centric, theocratic agenda) in a democracy, since so many of their varied attempts to manipulate elections aren’t 100% guaranteed.

Democracy doesn’t work for them anymore, so they’ll pursue other routes to permanent minority rule.

Others are finally seeing it & they’ve stopped calling the rest of us “alarmists.”

Democratic leaders need to shout loud and clear that cult members and religious fanatics have no place in governance. The GOP is nothing but a hate group.

We have to talk about the abject failure of a DNC leader ship in educating the American public about what’s at stake. I remember when Howard dean ran to take over the DNC because we understood how critical it was. Whoever is running it is really doing us all a disservice. Why aren’t Bush and Obama doing barnstorming around the country about the end of democracy? Neither are my favorite but they would make a good main stream team.

Dark Brandon Joe Biden is leading the way: he's opened the window for candidates to speak freely, candidly and openly about the lying liars and the lies they tell. Candidates need to follow Joe's lead, or pave the way for him in ways they think he needs to lead as well: student loan forgiveness, infrastructure pleas when they voted against the bill, pot, and LGBTQ rights--and responsibility to those in the protected categories.

When Joe says "Go!" -- then GO. When and where he needs to go: Say "Go!" to/for Joe!

The GOP is not a "loyal opposition" party anymore. We are dealing with an internal enemy force every bit as evil and malignant as the early days of the nascent Nazi party in Germany. The sooner we all accept that fact, and think and act accordingly, the better the chances that we will salvage this flawed and fragile democracy. It starts be realizing that a significant percentage of this country's voters not-so-secretly crave life under a neofascist - or fully fascist - authoritarian regime that will satisfy their obession with "order" at the same time they yell "freedom!" while strapping tattered flags on their rusting pickups .. never realizing that those ideas are mutually exclusive. There is no need for anyone to rent or stream the comedy film "Idiocracy." It's here already living nextdoor to you.

Sorry, but I don't see Democratic women revving up voters either. They have a march or two scheduled? Couldn't prove it by me. Jaime Harrison couldn't be hiding deeper under the covers. Has Joe Biden forbid everyone but him to speak out on issues? Every single Republican seems to be saying something about anything (true, it makes no sense and is mostly lies) but it certainly motivates their base. Carville says things with flair (and a seeming understanding of the common man and woman) but again he is not out there---just on social media and his paid punditry. Why aren't the Dems out there motivating voters. Ads (especially the same ad over and over again) are not in and of themselves very motivating. This should be an out and out effort with constant reminders--but the Dems are disappointing me. It looks like we are going to have to get up on election day and drag people kicking and screaming to the polls. It's not like going to the dentist--this should be an inspiring experience, knowing that one is on the side of the angels.

Good on Tim Ryan for showing what a fraud J.D. Vance is. IMO he's about as much as a fraud a that author who wrote that "Million Little Pieces" book that was in the Oprah book club.

I would be surprised of the MAGA Q cult candidates let the N-word slip out like that prick from Pennsylvania named Santorum.

Tommy Potatoville (I say that since a potato is a type of tuber plant, and is a description of what is smarter than him) is a god damn embarrasment! I say this again and again, had he not been a college football coach, Doug Jones would have won. The no-info college football fans who almost never vote got this SOB in office.

Nice analysis there Michelangelo! We need to stop falling for the notion concocted by the media that we have to take the high road and be positive. Gee, how did that work for us against the backstabbing GOPers? We definitely need to be on the attack against the MAGA Q cult, while at the same time mention what has been done and what will be done if the Democrats get more seats.

OHG. The political ads that they are running here in AZ are soooo fear mongering. The illegal immigrants are coming. They are taking your jobs. etc. They tried this 2 years ago, remember the caravans! They are trying to step back on their abortion stance. It is sickening. My ballot will be mailed out tomorrow. I can't wait to fill it out. We send money to Tim Ryan, Val Demmings, Beto, Marcus Flowers, Katie Hobbs, Mark Kelley every month.

These republicon candidates are desperate and you see their desperation in the six most contested Senate seats. I really admire Tim Ryan who attacked Vance in their debate. The Democratic party needs these type of candidates to inviscerate these republicons. Where are the ads from the DNC that extols all the success stories of the Biden Administration. Where are the ads from the DNC that tells people what will happen for them if we really take the Senate by a real majority and retain the House and what the republicons will do if they win.

The more the right speaks the better for democracy, at least, I hope that's the case. They are arrogant enough now they do not hide their bigotry and racism, because they have been given permission to freely speak it out loud with no filters, no curtains, no barriers, no consequences, no apologies. The salamander, Newt, calling the Democratic Party the 'enemy' in the '80s was just the beginning of the fascist trend.
