What we need more than anything is a Democratic leadership that knows how to message effectively. From what I heard during Bob Cesca's podcast interview with Cliff Schecter from yesterday, it's clear that Dem leadership has no fucking clue. Hakim Jeffries' "Strong floor, no ceiling" slogan is about as dumb as it gets. You have to think about it to get what it means, and we all know that the average American voter could not think his way out of a wet paper bag made from Kleenex. How the fuck else can you explain two Trump terms? We need a message that connects with the dumbest parts of voters' brains, and sticks. And we need to communicate as clear as fuck that starting from day one of a Democratic administration, we will undo and overturn everything the scumbag, felon, grifting, demented, child-fucking dictator has done, from overturning tariffs and putting ICE-tapo on a leash to fully funding the social safety net, fixing healthcare once and for all, and letting the One Percent know that the tax-cut gravy train is over. Oh, yes, and tearing down the motherfucking ballroom and restoring the East Wing like it never happened. Surtax the assets of the One Percent to pay for it, and if they don't want to pay, seize them. In other words, we need a fucking, goddamned "PROJECT 2029" that kicks ass, takes names and lays out in no uncertain terms how we are going to fix this Unlimited Supply of Assholes (U.S.A.) and make it stick, just like FDR did. And if the SCOTUS balks, make the same threat FDR made - adding more members to the playpen.

I see a lot of people on threads praising him for things that the Biden administration did that are now coming to fruition. Of course others slam them and remind them that it was Biden that did that. I wish the government owned news media would point that out. Not gonna happen.
Maybe I’m wrong on this, but I don’t believe any one in government has control over the cost of goods. Prices go up and they never, ever come down, and with the tariffs it is even worse. A simple item like a basic kind toothpaste is now close to $5. It is the corporations that control pricing, not the government. If they are making huge profits, why would they lower prices?
You are absolutely right - corporations are raising prices because they can. People still buy , look at Black Friday sales, maybe more so as an emotional/psychological release to the strains of life, and lack of regulations/oversight ( dissolved agencies like the Consumer Protection) , and the pressure of shareholder value ( which is mostly rich industrial investors). Basically more greed. If corporations got away with say 20% of the family budget increase it to 25% then 30%. No one will ever save enough in the future since we will be in servitude to the corporations forever - re. 50 year mortgages. Add to that the heirs inherit the debts. But hey, as long as the Libs get owned, what do they care what happens to themselves.
