Mike, this is spot on. Trump is truly frightened. I also think the death of Robert Hansen has special significance for him, that yes, you can DIE in prison. I hope that Smith & company pull all of his passports and confine him to Mar-a-largo until and after his trial. This would also be a "good enough" jail if he's convicted. The Secret Service are with him 24-7, so he really can't move without them, and they will scream if he tries to scram. I'm making a few bags of popcorn to be ready......

I wait patiently for this miserable, depraved creature to be incarcerated. He's done so much damage to our country and bred a whole new GQP, full of hate groups, misogynists, homophobes and racists. May he rot in prison!

That has been my biggest concern, ie. Him escaping prosecution by leaving the country. Then again, I don’t trust his secret service detail to do the right thing. After all, what kind of person would take a bullet for Trump??

They are, or should be, institutionalists. They are defending the Office of the President (and afterwards). So, their duty would be to report. I know, that sounds very bureaucratic and old-fashioned.

They should be pulling his passport NOW.

His puppet master pooty poot would take him in or that POS MBS in Saudi Arabia.

This is the time to act on this or he will disappear before the indictment comes down and we certainly know that someone in the pathetic orange state where he lives will tip him off, I'll bet!

You are so right. More than the secret service, I trust the media to stop him from fleeing but pulling his passport is a great idea!

I agree with you Catherine, imprisonment at Mar-a-logo is good ENOUGHT for me. The point to make is "NO Man is above the Law": true trump's money has slowed down the process, but the overall premise must be kept sacrosanct!!!

Hey, Mike, I thought that he did call for violence earlier this week on his social media platform, using the word "fight" or something similar numerous times (heard this on Olbermann's podcast the other day). Am I mistaken? I do think he knows that his threats will come to little-to-nothing, though, unlike January 6th.

He apparently made an announcement on his social media site that he’s been indicted. Clearly by his making the announcement he’s trying to control the news. I hope they toss his orange a$$ in jail and throw away the key.

We’re getting smoke from the Canadian fires here in NC too. Not as bad as NYC but enough that we’re all wearing masks if we go outside.

tRUMP needs to be indicted, tried, convicted and sent to prison for all of his crimes. I fervently hope this happens. tRUMP is a textbook malignant narcissist. That doesn't excuse his behavior but it does explain it. What is equally outrageous is all the Republican politician who are aware of this (and most of them do as it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure this out) whom have had his back, continued to have his back and repeat his lies. These politicians are as evil as tRUMP if not more so. Holding tRUMP liable for his misdeeds should not be about politics. Being a liberal democrat if a a democratic president, member of congress, governor, mayor, etc. broke laws the way tRUMP has and I didn't push equally as hard to hold him or her accountable then shame on me. I find most disheaertened is the huge percentage of Americans who still believe tRUMP's lies!

Yes...Trump is a typical bully...when confronted he demonstrates pure cowardliness.... and as a narcissist, Trump, now cornered will probably resort to promoting a "sympathy" position ...don't be surprised if he uses the "wheelchair" court appearance and even more extreme ,perhaps even a fake suicide attempt. This man has shown signs of a malignant narcissism personality, with aggression and abusive behavior towards others and when cornered you can expect an extreme reaction.

Want to hear a crazy idea? What if the Trump documents case, the "leak" about Ukraine bombing the Nordstream pipeline, and Kushner's weird dealings with the Saudis have something to do with one another, and members of Congress are also involved.

I’m not surprised by anything these amoral donkeys do these days.

What a great week this has been! There's the indictment of the Orange Slobfather, and MTG being brushed off by said Slobfather. Not to mention Pat Robertson and James Watt no longer existing on this planet anymore.

The countdown has started.

Countdown to what? You may ask.

Eventually, time runs out for everyone that continues to do wrong.

Loved donnab’s response! Trump MUST be held accountable for the lechery and destruction he has openly flaunted in front of the world, as well as all the laws of our constitution he has violated. Our nation must survive him!

This can't come too soon for me! I figure tomorrow is the drop-dead day. I'm counting on my champagne in the fridge and Rachel Maddow to be called in for special coverage.

I'm sorry to read about the smoke and haze in NYC and the East Coast. As I live in Northern California, I'm used to smoke - and even ash falling like snow - during the fire season. Buy an air purifier. It is savior if you have any sort of allergy or asthma. We bought one from Costco a number of years ago and it really helps.

"No one has told me I’m being indicted," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. "And I shouldn’t be because I’ve done nothing wrong."

No, that is not what he posted. I go to Truth Social now and then to laugh, cry or get angry. This is what he posted:

"No one has told me I’m being indicted," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. "And I shouldn’t be because I’ve done NOTHING wrong."

AND THEN HE ISSUED A FEW MORE POSTS WHERE HE SAID MORE THINGS LIKE THIS.

----------------

As another example, he posted this 12 hours ago.

THIS CRIMINAL & SALACIOUS ACT FROM WITHIN THE DOJ HAS BROUGHT SHAME & EMBARRASSMENT TO THIS ONCE GREAT & RESPECTED INSTITUTION. BECAUSE OF THIS, THERE IS NOW EXTREME TURMOIL INSIDE THE DOJ…..

But I do not understand his use of the word "salacious."

Maybe the word was used because he knows he’s screwed. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣😂
