Personally, I believe that Trump will ride this con for another 4 years....he'll continue to contest the election in court while making millions off the donations of his supporters, and launch his 2024 campaign the date of Biden's inaugural. He's got an unparalleled mailing list and an army of sycophants. Media will be sucked back into the Trump vortex, barring changes at the top, Democratic leadership will once again fail to counter Trump's unending propaganda. Neither Trump, the GOP, nor their base care about governance, so a competent Biden administration will do little to sway the 2024 outcome. The only ray of hope is a state-level prosecution of the Trump family. Even if this does happen, Trump will pull out the 'vindictive Dems' card. his base will respond sympathetically and monetarily, the media will fall in line, and Democratic leadership will try to 'rise above', which has worked so 'brilliantly' the last 5 years. I don't see any escape hatch from our national madness, but perhaps others are more optimistic about our future.
Next Steps. Yes tRump’s MO does perhaps indicate that tRump will “...ride the con for another 4 years..” I do have a different slant on your comment. I believe that tRump, hopefully, will be overwhelmed by other distractions, like: civil legal issues, fighting his criminal issues, a family in chaos, a “Repugnant” party trying to distance themselves from him, a good number of supporters abandoning the cult, creditors chasing him etc.etc. We need him out of our lives, let’s hope he does what most bullies do...whimper off and deal with themselves, in his case, as a failed, worthless and sick man.
