I’m following this impeachment via Progressive News because watching and listening to too much of it will trigger my anxiety over the past 4 years and Trump flashbacks. I’m thrilled to see McConnell’s power going down the drain. The soulless GOP and their blatant bigotry and arrogance is now destroying their party and it’s a wonderful thing to see! They underestimated (and still are) the will and decency of the majority of Americans.
Their reluctance to convict Trump will stain their party and family legacies forever. And they have no one to blame other than themselves. Karma!
What a strong presentation by the House managers today so far. The fact that almost all of the Q-publican Senators aren't swayed by the threats to their lives and in some cases their family member's lives makes you wonder how anyone could be so devoid of the courage to do the right thing. If this get described by them as just another partisan attack by democrats, I'm going to lose my s**t.

I'm just disgusted with the RepubliQan Party. They have sunk to depths I previously thought unimaginable. The House Managers are putting on a devastating indictment of Trump, Trumpism, and the cowardly, authoritarian party that has enabled him. I am wholeheartedly convinced that they are so thoroughly corrupted that if they don't convict him, it is because they don't want him barred from running for office again (as that will be the very next order of business after conviction), which means they do want him to run again, which means they want him to win and serve (at least) another four years.
If they actually vote against conviction, it's beyond disgusting. I can only imagine that they will use "unconstitutional" as the excuse to hang their perfidy on ("It's unconstitutional, therefore the entire impeachment is invalid"). At least they can't say that "it's the Democrat party" that did it. That they can sit and watch (if they're even watching) and not convict, it's almost beyond words. They need to be wiped out politically, made to be a non-entity, and go the way of the dinosaurs.
I'm leaving strong voice messages for my worthless Senators (Rubio & Scott). Of course, I'd never vote for them, but they need to know what needs to be done to restore Democracy in this country.

The Republican Party will be shown to have willfully accepted that their president caused an insurrection on the very Government/People that he was to protect. He did it under false pretenses and he caused the death of many, including a Police Office, with whom those very same people pontificate about always supporting. If there is any video of those closest to Trump where they verbally denounce the deaths, I have yet yo see it.
