Two callers claim it's Democrats who are in the wrong in Texas--and everywhere! [audio]
Texas is engaging in extreme gerrymandering on orders from Trump. But these guys say it's Democrats who started it--and are now running away from the fight. Yes, I called bullshit.
This week on my SiriusXM show the phones have been lit up with people energized by what Texas Democrats in the legislature have done in leaving the state and not allowing a quorum for the GOP to install its radical, further-gerrymandered maps.

Donald Trump has ordered all of it, afraid of Republicans losing the mid-terms—and it underscores the GOP’s weakness.
But not all the calls have been supportive.
Raphael, from California, a self-described “lifelong Democrat” called to say it’s wrong for the Democrats to leave their jobs. I explained they weren’t leaving their jobs—they’re doing their jobs, under the rules of the Texas legislature and the Texas Constitution.
These simple exchanges always get heated because these people think they can just change the subject or try to talk over me on my show when they realize they’ve lost the argument. Listen in and you be the judge!
Then came a call from Bill in Oklahoma. He started out politely enough, but as he pointed to my supposed hypocrisy regarding Democratic states supposedly gerrymandering, and as I pointed out that in fact—as I’d been discussing for an hour—Democrats have led the movement to stop gerrymandering, he got all irritated and began using four-letter words.
So I had to four-letter-word him back and put him in his place for both his complete lack of knowledge and his refusal to acknowledge what I just said.
Listen in and let me know your thoughts!
Ask them when Texas will have an independent commission to decide election districts ?
Facts don’t matter to these people. Not the sharpest pencils in the pencil box. You’re so right in shutting them down. It’s one thing to have an opinion and another to not give a little ground when you’re presented the facts. But when you’re fed Fox News 24/7, this is how your brain turns to mush.
