Oh Michael, what a terrible experience. I’m so sorry you went through that, Don’t rush into things too quickly…please take care of yourself. We love & need you on that wall (to paraphrase Col Jessup), because we CAN handle the truth! Thank you for all you do. 🙏🏼❤️

Great to hear you’re on the mend! And who would have thought that Chuck Todd of all people would be in he rational one to stand up to his bosses over at NBC News, strange times.

Happy to hear you are on the mend. Regarding Ronna McDaniel. I am a retired agent who represented many NBC journalists. I have not been in contact with anyone since the McDaniel hire but I can imagine anyone with journalistic chops will be outraged. Kudo's to Chuck Todd for calling it out.

yes, for Todd, who never challenges authority , it was a commendable use of his clout. And they don't dare punish him.

Indeed - I was surprised that Chuck called it out

Let’s remember that McDaniel is the niece of Mitt Romney. Interesting that her job as RNC Chair was probably (partially) obtained thru nepotism and she was replaced by an OBVIOUS nepotistic cause.

Mike, you’re due for a total respite from any type of sickness after this winter! So glad you’re better and pumped full of the antibiotics. Anything gastrointestinal is no fun, been there and done that. Hope they put you on clear liquids followed by low residue. It does help. I can’t even babble about Chuck Todd right now, just hoping for your speedy and SAFE return. Maybe we’ll get Joe tomorrow which is AOK. Rest, take care! 😎

Thanks Chris. Saturday was awful and I wasn't allowed anything, not even water. Was so thirsty. Sunday morning, clear liquids. Then doc said i'm going to put you on regular food because i want you to leave here the way it will be at home. So I ate lunch and dinner, and so far, so good.

That’s good, I had to do low residue for a couple of days. Glad you’re mending!

I had almost exactly the same situation last fall. I was too sick to realize I should even go to the hospital until the next day. I’m glad you’re recovering because the news is unrolled almost faster than we can keep track of it. And you are a prince, who deserves to be our voice.

OMG! Michelangelo what a horrible situation. How did you get E. coli? You must have eaten somewhere. So glad you are feeling better. We need you more than ever at this time in the country. Know that I’m sending lots of white light energy to you.

Yes, they kept asking me on where I ate and what i ate. I am vegetarian, eat a lot of fruits and vegetable. But do wash them. Lately they've been talking bout e.Coli on lettuce and cheese. Last week i had jury duty and it was the first time i veered from my diet and had cheese sandwich from starbucks, the only thing available. So who knows?

Wow, you are so dedicated, writing an update from your hospital bed! On the other hand, if you’re bored in the hospital that usually means you’re doing better. I appreciate your commentary on Ronna Romney (I’m dropping her McDaniel to be snarky, lol) and the news that Chuck Todd (as you said, “of all people!”) had spoken out publicly. I had not heard that. Good for him. Anyway, rest, suck in those sweet antibiotics, and get better! Take care, and thanks for the update.

Thank you, Cindy—just saw a good clip of it. I’m stunned that Todd actually said that on MTP after the interview. Again, good for him. I stopped watching MTP during his tenure; I was happy to pick up Jenn Psaki instead. Who is also clearly partisan but not a liar, and she’s bright and personable and highly prepared. Like Todd said, let Ronna Romney talk on NBC about the GOP convention, fine, but what else is she good for there?

I stopped watching cable news in 2016. I will watch when Rachel is interviewing someone interesting and on election nights when we win. I had mixed feelings watching Chuck Todd. I was like, wait, he is a hack. He must have been angry, right? He actually told the truth. Ronna is disgusting. No moral fiber that one. I honestly don't know what NBC or MSNBC were thinking. Let Ronna go to Fox News or Newsmax or away - just away. She is gross. Hmmm Can you tell how I feel about her? LOL

I do like MSNBC. It’s certainly more opinion than news, but I enjoy most of the commentators. And they certainly have no shortage of Republican talent—Michael Steele, who used to have Ronna McDaniel’s old job when the party platform wasn’t 100% about doing coups, and Nicolle Wallace, who was in GWB’s administration, and of course Morning Joe himself, a former GOP rep from the Florida panhandle. I mean, they’ve got a LOT of GOP types for being thought of as the Democratic version of Fox. But I get what you’re saying about cable news. ;)

I understand. I just got so disgusted in 2016 that I stopped watching. Remember when they would not cover Hillary's speeches but instead would show Trump's stupid plane on the tarmac and Joe and Mika fawning all over Trump? Don't get me wrong, I am glad they turned on Trump. I like Nicolle Wallace and Michael Steele but I don't forget they helped build this republican party - BUT good for them now. Who needs MSNBC when we have Michelangelo, right? 😉😉

Mika and Nicolle are two of my favorite MSNBC personalities; you’d never think either wasn’t ever completely anti-MAGA. They both know Drumpf is TOTALLY unfit to be near the WH.

Glad to read that you have recovered from e.coli poisoning Michelangelo, and that you’ll soon be discharged. It’s a good sign that you’re writing so you must be feeling better at this point.

I’m surprised Todd spoke out (based on his often meek questioning of Magacons, it was unexpected that he’d take such exception to NBC’s hiring “Romney/McDaniel.) “Morning Joe” should be interesting this week. Giving any election denier “media credence” is normalizing the behavior.
