We’re the country that needs regime change. And Israel

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

And now we have the first American deaths, three service members killed, five injured, in addition to many Iranians, Israelis and others in the region. All blood on Trump and Netanyahu’s hands.

Dottie and Dale's avatar

I'd like to know the effectiveness of the Iranian counter attacks and also the Israeli role in the attacks on Iran. I think this is wrongheaded. Will Trump also soon be attacking Cuba? And then try to take Greenland with military force? It is time for regime change -- in the U.S.

donnab's avatar

Can we sign up Barron to go to war or does he have bone spurs too?

Larry's avatar

Is anyone in Congress going to take responsibility for allowing the executive branch to usurp their power?!?!? ANYONE ?!?!? They were elected to uphold the constitution, and only Congress has the power to declare war.

Agree Donnab, Barron won’t enter a war, just like his daddy has never stepped foot inside a supermarket.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

There is going to be a vote on Monday. You know they won’t stop him.

Larry's avatar

Thanks for the update on the vote, Michelangelo. It’s really frustrating when a few publicly say they’ll stop him, and then do the opposite. We are SO controlled by big money in this country.

donnab's avatar

Crickets heard in Congress. They just sit and collect their paychecks as the slippery Fuhrer runs the show. We must win the midterms or all is lost.

Sakina's avatar

Good one, Donnab!

donnab's avatar

Thanks, Sakina. It's easy for the wealthy to declare war and then send poor kids to fight it. Trump has no morality.

Wonne's avatar

The closer they get to Lutnick and Rump, the more they need to obfuscate and what better way than starting a war. The pathetic neutered Rs in Congress are willing to give up everything for their fuhrer.

donnab's avatar

You are so correct! More distractions from the billionaire pedophiles, our failing economy, soaring debt, People struggling without healthcare and more. Once he bankrupts the country, then what? We become a big banana republic.

Dot S.'s avatar

Where is Congress??? Why aren't those who know better doing something? Speak out! A couple of courageous republicans in the house could resign - tipping control to the Dems. But they will allow the world to go up in flames before ceding power!

I am so freaken tired of living in this regime and seeing our checks and balances being muzzled 🤬

Jeff C.'s avatar

Those moderate Democrats with their sternly-worded letters need to be primaried. Some opposition they are! Added to that, Gavin Newsome is less progressive on trans issues than my democratic US house representative in Alabama Shomari Figures.

Eric's avatar

Is that George Bush "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner around anywhere? The White House wants to hang it off the balcony.

Donnie Dementia has started a war with Iran, putting the lives of thousands of American service men and women in harm's way. Yet another distraction from the mountains of not-yet-deleted evidence in the Epstein Files of non-consensual sexual encounters with underage girls our beloved Pedophile-In-Chief partook in.

Having ICE kill innocent ordinary Americans ran its course as a distraction. The strangling of the American economy (unless you're one of the lucky 10 percent), continues to linger but doesn't have as much of a headline-grabbing impact as it was supposed to. That 17-page plan to Federalize the 2026 Election was supposed to be another days/weeks-long distraction, but was immediately shot down by scores of legal experts. The rapid spread of Measles throughout the country was supposed to have the same headline-generating impact as Covid, but continues to sit "below the fold" on an inside page. Even the dog-and-pony show with the Clinton testimony only became news because Lauren Boebert leaked photos from inside the sealed room (the sexual groping of men inside theaters no longer has the zing it used to), and James Comer established precedent that now opens both Melanoma and Donnie to sworn testimony. Will Boebert leak photos of Donnie falling asleep in the middle of his testimony?

But Back to the Middle East and Iran.

Iran is an immediate "threat" to the security and stability of the Middle East, or so goes the story (i.e. distraction) KKKaroline ("how has that cross I wear so prominently, not yet burst into flames?") Leavitt puts forth. (God, how much I miss CJ Cregg - and yes, I know she's a fictional character.)

Saudi Arabia had the resources to brutally murder Jamal Khashoggi, but is unable to take any actions against an immediate threat on its doorstep. Qatar can donate (grift?) (bribe?) a 747 to Donnie, but also can't do anything about an immediate threat on their doorstep. Other countries in the Middle East have "invested" billions into Trump Family "businesses" (including the billions given to Jared Kushner and conveniently-pardoned dad), but are incapable of defending themselves against an immediate threat on their doorstep. From the sound of it, a boatload of Peruvian fishermen could just dock their ship and take over most of the Middle East using fishing poles as weapons.

The American soldiers killed during this military action will be buried with full military honors (as they should be), but instead of dying for a noble purpose, Donnie views them as expendable so long as it's one more day that we're not focusing on the Epstein Files. The country is f*cked, but this is what the MAGAts voted for, and don't even need Doug Flutie's "Boner Pills" to be sporting woodies today.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

Yes, let them fight their own wars. Why do we arm Saudi Arabia if they don’t actually need it and depend on us to do it.

And now three American soldiers are dead. Probably will be more.

Larry's avatar

Well said Eric, but we need to call them the Trump/Epstein files, since Drumpf is mentioned more than anyone else.

Wonne's avatar

Excellent breakdown sir.

Rick in CO's avatar

Hey, what ever happened to those Epstein headlines?

Wonne's avatar

He and his POS friend Netanyahu are going to find out what real war is like. I pity the Israeli people. Even his rich friends in Qatar are upsetting the balance in the world ALL to cover up his Epstein ties! DISGUSTING.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

And it looks like the Saudi dictator bil Salman was in on this too, urging Trump to do it, along with Bibi...

Wonne's avatar

Yup Sunni vs Shia, Iraq all over again.

AdrianB's avatar

You should also “pity” the US citizens and those from other countries who will feel the collateral impact of this declared war on Iran.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

Absolutely. No warning, nothing. And there will be terror attacks.

Wonne's avatar

Our men and women in the military will pay the price. That is a given.

Sakina's avatar

My question is, will he use this illegal war as the "emergency" needed to try and suppress and subvert the midterms? Blue states better take Marc Elias' recommendations to protect their elections right now. I thought of Iraq, too, when he claimed that Iran could have nukes ready in a day or days. Only an idiot would fall for that argument again.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

We have to be on guard for sure.

Larry's avatar

Agree, Sakina. Magacon equals idiot. And now that most of the MSM is magacon, no one is questioning, including our Congress.

Sakina's avatar

Hi Larry, MSM is so predictable, following the bright shiny object of the illegal war, showing bombings 24/7, even MSNOW. Hubby still won't give up watching them. Meanwhile, Trump/Epstein files have been sidelined, as well as other news. They can't walk and chew gum at the same time!

Larry's avatar
Mar 1Edited

Did you see the interview with Preston Foster over the weekend, talking about how bad Khomeini was, when the real issue is Drumpf’s usurping authoritative power from Congress? Sakina, it is SO frustrating when even MSNOW doesn’t provide the context needed at this time.

Sakina's avatar

I didn't see it. I occasionally tune in to Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell, but that's it.

Larry's avatar
Mar 2Edited

Those two (AND Nicolle Wallace) are who I watch also. I watched a little over the weekend bc of this unlawful war. Didn’t like the validation he was giving it.

Catherine Lugg's avatar

This is just a spectacular blunder. One analyst noted that Iran is bigger than Germany and Japan during WWII. And we only won that war largely thanks to the Soviet Union.

This is a grand cluster f*ck.

Wonne's avatar

I'm afraid there is no 'winning' here, only losing.

Chris C's avatar

Maybe we should send ICE to Iran and let our military stay home.

Jeff C.'s avatar

Yeah, ICE should have the whole "Charge of the Light Brigade" experience with Hangover Holman, Cosplay Barbie, and that pipsqueak nazi from the border patrol commanding them.

Chris C's avatar

So it’s Fake Bone Spurs’ version of WMD, “and you want to be my latex salesman (Nobel Peace Prize) and knock out the Epstein files all in one big fat mess to match his Orange ass. And Mike Wimpy McWimpface sitting in his corner like a little scared boy. I’m not sure what all this fealty to FBS is getting the GOP right now. Sick of it.

Derrick's avatar

F !! Nasty pit in stomach, glum mood. Biff on world stage bullying many other nations, escalating from tariffs. Supreme lifelong scofflaw DARES anyone stop him, niece Mary warned us, the US. Since 2003 and the electively created war in Iraq I’ve been immensely against US poking big nose in other nation’s business. Christian Nationalist extremists will be cheering on involvement with Israel and “let’s bring on the end times !!” ?? I just buzzed through “Signs of Low IQ” video and can’t help but see shoes that fit and that alarms me especially in current times/situation: https://youtu.be/LQU48HE4GcU?si=KblHfYcsnsFN6ok2

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

It does make your stomach sink for sure.

Toni Marshall's avatar

Inside trading is happening. Dell stock went up and oil funds by huge margins...... Dell, were contributors to Trump... FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!!!!!

Jeff C.'s avatar

Hey Michelangelo! Feel free to yell at any MAGA veteran that calls in. Trump won't get us into wars my ass! Added to that, a GOPer has never met a war they didn't like.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

What complete assholes.

AdrianB's avatar

Now this country will pay for allowing Trump to be in the White House …not to mention the collateral damage about to impact other countries. Congress should take the blame for not wrenching their rightful power to stop this Orange Peril.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

It’s all blood on MAGA’s hands.
