I’m so disappointed with Sinema. I knew when she ran for office that she was considered a more right leaning Democrat, but I really thought she was 100% on our side. I was wrong.

Once again the Democrats blindly think that republicans will work with them, and they are wrong again. Republicans have never worked with Democrats. For as long back as I can remember Republicans will act all chummy while stabbing Dems in the back in the end. When Republicans have all the power, do you think they ask Democrats for help and bipartisanship? Nope. When will Democrats learn to do it their way and screw Republicans. Republicans are just big bullies.

As far as Republicans kissing up to Trump, why? Why have they given him so much power? I don’t get it. What does he have on the top brass of Republicans that keep them kissing his ass. I have never seen a one term President have so much power over their party. Do they really think his shrinking base is worth fighting for? Republicans act like big bullies in Congress, yet cower and kiss ass to a man that lost everything for them. 2022 frightens me, and I just can’t put my body, mind and soul through another insane election.

Sinema and Manchin are trying to live in a reality that no longer exists. It is really puzzling to me why they think what they are doing is legit when their actions or non actions will be blamed for the rise of US fascism. That will be their legacy. As much as I am repulsed by actors on the right I have to say at least they broadcast their horribleness and even when they lie it is easily discernable what their true intentions are. I have much more disgust for those that pretend to be on the left but don't actually give a fuck about our values. If we do have full fascism in 2-6 years the blame will lie squarely on democrats who did not take this moment (a 5 year moment at this point ) seriously.

Must be an extremely heavy lift for senators S&M to keep the supremacy aloft in this day and age. Begging terrorists to dump their intransigence on anything with a whiff of progress. Democracy is on it's deathbed and those two continue to play footsies with the real enemy...

Is it at all possible that Sinema & Manchin could be just stupidly naive ? Surely not, they would have been bombarded by people giving them the stark reality that the Repugnants are not on the side of good government or for the benefit of this democracy. So what is their motivation.? Is it some elaborate strategy to get some policies that they want enacted? Is it just stupid stubbornness born out of some wishful power push? I am asking myself these questions because I can’t get a clean handle on their motivations, since McConnell, McCarthy etc. have made it very clear that they are not interested in passing anything instigated by the Democrats. Biden & Schumer can use the Repugnant’s obstructionist attitude to their advantage.

Bipartisan is a joke. Doesn't work with the GOP who vote in lock step to the direction of their party. Trump did his damage with the support of the GOP and never gave a damn about bipartisanship. Let's do likewise, Democrats! Form a commission NOW. If the GOP isn't interested because of their complicity in the insurrection, phooey on them. The Dems need to do the right thing and stop kissing the rumps of those seeking to destroy Democracy.

If the Filibuster isn't reformed or gotten rid of altogether, OUR DEMORACY WILL DIE! Period, end of story.

These 2 are no more than DINOs (dems in name only) they are standing in the way of protecting Democracy just as much as Moscow Mitch and any of the other repugnicans The problem with getting rid of the filibuster is that is EXACTLY what the right wants! They have no problem forcing their members to all vote in lockstep. With the Dems its like herding cats, sadly. With these two we'd never get to the threshold;d of 51. Really pisses me off that they are more interested in their jobs than they are in Democracy. Pathetic

OK, here’s my take: I actually hope that the RepubliQans vote against a commission to investigate the Trump Insurrection. First, the Democrats have already conceded to every demand, which would effectively and practically give the RepubliQans control of the proceedings because they’d have veto power over witnesses. That’s a serious strike against the commission as put forth by the Democrats.

Second, the Democrats in the House will be able to have a select committee investigating the Trump Insurrection (think Benghazi), and will not be hamstrung by RepubliQan obstruction and intransigence.

Third, the Democrats will be able to have a real investigation and use it against the RepubliQans in the midterms. Granted, they will whine that it’s “partisan” and a “witch hunt”, but the facts that will come out will overcome the RW political messaging.

Finally, there should be no doubt that the elected RepubliQans are actively planning to let the rubes take the fall, and are supremely confident that the upcoming trials and convictions will stop right there and not reach up to implicate them. That may be a huge mistake on their part, in two-fold fashion: an unrestricted Democratic House investigation which is much more likely to implicate them in Trump’s Insurrection, and seditionists selling them out for more lenient sentences.

Listening to your show discussing Covid and the mask mandates. I guarantee 95% of the people who refused to wear masks, but ultimately had no choice, and refuse to get vaccinated, are not wearing them now either. Once the mandate was lifted, the masks came off regardless of a vaccine. I was at the grocery store today and most people were not wearing masks, some still were, but I doubt it had much to do with not being vaccinated. I am fully vaccinated, but I will still carry and wear a mask where it is mandatory. It is my public duty to do so, however, I am so tired and worn down about this pandemic, I just can’t listen to the talking heads regurgitate the same issues over and over again. I am grateful I came out of this unscathed and without losing any loved ones. My heart goes out to the millions of families affected by this pandemic and I blame Trump 100% for their deaths.
