If I had not read your report, I would have had no idea things were going well. Every day, through every source of media, I see gloom and doom. Thank you for a well written article

Mike, the best economic news I read was at The American Prospect, where they said that Wall Street was reacting to re-regulation more than it was to any so-called "fundamentals". Biden has a strong group of pro-regulaton people at the helm, from Janet Yellen on down.

Calling the January Sixth Insurrection "legitimate political discourse" should doom the GOP.

But only if people hear it! And Democrats think "the media" will tell people. They WON'T!

Democrats need to tell people that the GOP says that what happened at the Capitol on 1/6/21 was a) legitimate 2) political and 3) discourse. Americans know better: it was a violent attempt to overthrow the government. How does "hang Mike Pence" fit within the framework of Legitimate Political Discourse?

It doesn't. And Democrats CANNOT rely on corporate media, owned and managed by Republicans, to tell Americans about this without their talking about it. Every. Day.

John Fugelsang made an interesting observation on his show yesterday (Feb. 3) that many corporations posed healthy profits and gave their executives raises and bonuses all while crying about raising prices because of supply chain issues and inflation. Democrats need to hit on this as well.

Historically, the stronger your democracy, the better your economy will be for all. So, Biden needs to celebrate these economic TRIUMPHS, and then pivot to protecting voting rights. Yes, inflation hurts, but the sting is far less than massive unemployment, which would further destabilize the political electorate. Meanwhile, the GOP is busily clamping down on internal dissent, stripping many Americans of their voting rights, and pushing to become a Trumpian Kleptocracy. Each of us needs to do what we can to make sure the GOP isn't allowed to return to their grand looting.

The Democrats need to be in “attack dog” mode….attack…attack…attack….and like a dog with a bone, the Democrats now are perfectly positioned to remind all of us ad nauseam that Jan.6 domestic terrorist attack had the “Repugnants” imprimatur all over it….and that their failed leader needs to be punished.

Biden Boom, GOP Bust sounds like a great bumper sticker slogan, Michelangelo!

Please remember that corporate media can't cash in on good news or of human interests. If you have negative or gotcha leaning news you can clean up by the clicks.

Democrats must adopt the notion that they are dealing with terrorists across the aisle. You throw away the rule book and don your brass knuckles if you wanna rescue former usa from the clutches of the fourth Reich...

Great economic news. Corporations created 3 trillion in wealth during pandemic. Then why in the F is Amazon going to raise prices. Maybe because Bezos has to dismantle a bridge to get his ocean liner out.

Great news about job gains. Let’s dig deeper. Since the pandemic started 22m jobs were lost. 12m have been recovered. Even with the gains made by Joe we are still about 4m short. The labor participation rate is still lagging by 2 percentage points (62% versus 64%.

I'm still disgusted with Biden and Harris for attending the Prayer Breakfast and complimenting Mitch McConnell. McConnell is anything but a 'man of honor." What was he thinking doing this? Their presence at this breakfast is a slap in the face to all his supporters. I am a Biden supporter, but this action has given me pause. NOT HAPPY!

i disagreed with your (and your listeners) defense of Whoopi yesterday. not that i thought the suspension was warranted, but i disagree with excusing her basic lack of knowledge. She's not 25, she's been part of Hollywood and the public eye for a very long time, and to not even have opened Maus, which quotes Hitler about the "Jewish race," is pretty shocking. Reducing the Holocaust to "a fight between white people" is damaging on multiple levels.
