I have been completely energized by the convention. Hillary, Warnock and Biden had me in tears. It's been inspirational and I can't wait for tonight! Seeing young Democrats warms my heart. They are our future. GO DEMS!!!!!!! I didn't watch the RNC. Don't have the stomach for compulsive liars.

Donnab, I totally agree with you! I was choked up or in tears for many of the speeches, especially Hillary's, Jasmine Crockett's, and Joe Biden's. Thank you, Joe!

Senator Raphael Warnock too - wow 🔥

And Jamie Raskin’s. And Mallory McMorrow’s!!!

But every speech was so moving. Senator Warnock is a gifted orator, Hillary is always brilliant and inspiring, and Jasmine Crockett is amazing!!! We do have a deep bench of great leaders.

I didn’t watch the RNC, just snippets on MSNBC, but what I saw was such a contrast to the DNC, which I watched last night with pride and hope. Only the first night, and the DNC was electrifying, inspirational and full of spirit. Real people at the DNC, and it felt like being at a party where you enjoy all the guests, while the RNC felt like a gathering of fake (and weird) Drumpf lovers. Had to be fake bc even his own family doesn’t like the OH.

We’re not going back, and the DNC will continue to play that message.

I loved all the speeches. Hillary rocked! The standing ovation for her was amazing. I agree, she passed the torch to Kamala, but I loved the “ Lock him up!” chants. Really hilarious if ya think about it. President Biden was on fire. What an amazing, genuine, generous, caring man. He truly shows his love of our country and his desire to see what is best for our future. Again, looking forward to your show today. Yesterday’s show was so inspiring. You must be having a blast!!!

One thing people who know VP Harris say is that she loves to throw parties and is a wonderful host. Her welcome last night is in keeping with who she is. Last night was the beginning of Harris claiming her role as the leader of the party - and a thoughtful host welcomes everyone in. It was uplifting and emotional. It was a perfect balance of showing off our deep bench, elucidating the vision of the Harris/Walz campaign and bringing the 🔥 to Trump.

I thought AOC gave off major Obama's 2004 speech vibes.

Honestly not sure how East Coast people stayed up that late, I would’ve had to record it since in my Boomer age never see midnight much. But it was fine for us on the West Coast. Thought Hillary was, particularly good. Mike on your show yesterday you had a guy Ben from Wisconsin that you interviewed but I didn’t catch his last name. He was great! Can you fill us in? Lots of good interviews, your head must be spinning in a good way. Thanks much! 😎

CC, I think it was Ben Wikler, the Democratic party chair in WI. Totally agree about Hillary. Her speech touched me the most.

This Ben guy needs to run for something then, what a great guy!

It was a great display of what true democracy looks like. The speeches were great and all led up to an incredibly powerful yet emotional speech from Joe Biden. Just thinking about it makes me tear up. Hard to believe anyone could watch that and go vote for TFG. 💙💙💙

Joe Biden will go down as one of the top five American presidents, IMO. He’s a true person of the people.🙏🏼🌞

I completely agree. His accomplishments surpass all presidents of the modern era and he doesn’t get enough credit. However I think history will fix that.

Loved so much last night...so not a fan of the whole "passing the torch" saying. The late, great Joe Madison had a hood answer gor that. Looking forward to the rest of the week, especially President Obama.

Thank you so much Michelangelo for doing the hard work of being there for all of us! What I heard last night was beautiful, authentic, full of substance, spirit, unity and heart. The very expression of the democracy we are working so hard to preserve, at its best. What I heard Monday night, and how you summarized it, is what I’m voting for.

Michelangelo, can you find people who will talk about a commitment not to abandon our Palestinian brothers and sisters even though we might not know how to help them in a lasting way right now? A cease fire is a necessity, but it won’t be enough. I hope that something comes out of this convention to keep hope alive for our Palestinian friends. I think we have to tell them again that they will be worse off if Trump wins. I have a Palestinian friend and there is confusion about this. There is still a belief that Trump will help them. Trump couldn’t care less about them. This convention must come out more convincingly for the Palestinian cause or it will regret it. Somehow it must encourage Israel to stop doing what was done to them. Those to whom evil is done, do evil in return. It’s asking for a miracle perhaps, but Monday night showed miracles are possible. Can you find someone who might help insert this into the convention?

Kamala Harris sees the tragic situation and her empathy for people will show in her policies; she will listen, while Drumpf only serves himself. Maybe remind the confused about Drumpf’s Muslim ban, an atrocity he proposed that must not be forgotten.

Yes! Thank you. I think the Kamala Harris administration will give Palestine much more of a chance.

I thought Reverend Warnock did a great job of speaking to the Palestinian issue last night.

Yes, I agree. A profoundly moving speech with plenty of substance. I think the deep issue with Israel and the Palestinians is certainly Netanyahu, and even more than that, the hard right bigots that surround him and have so much defacto power in Israel. I think Kamala Harris has a chance to change that by her empathy, popularity and careful diplomacy.

Only by the donor class tools. Your tribal blind allegiance is pathetic. The vehicle that ushered us to this Third World outhouse. If the goal is slightly better than an ongoing criminal enterprise, kept me out.

Hi Mike, one small item I enjoyed last night were the comments by a Rabbi that gave a co benediction. L’Dor V L’Dor…. that translates from one generation to the next…. IMHO, that was one of the more meaningful phrases spoken last night.. Best to you Mike.
