it is amazing to me how people think that they know everything about everything, and automatically Joe Biden is at fault for this, and Joe Biden is at fault for that. First off, I praise the IRS to go after people who don't pay their fair share. And I want to see more of that. Secondly, crime and and white collar crime are treated so differently ... "well, no one really got hurt by my embezzlement or my cheating on my taxes" so whats the big deal, ... wasn't that the argument thrown out by Trump's attorneys in the Trump financial fraud case? Oh, but that brown person who stole food, maybe to feed their family, they deserve the chair. There are definitely two tiers of justice and it is not fair. Trump should be in jail now, I believe Reality Winner was in jail awaiting trial, but of course she is not a wealthy white man. I love how they bring up Chicago and crime, I live here. Those Michigan avenue stores closing have nothing to do with crime, the leases on those properties are through the roof. As far as crime in those particular, I.e. the Gold Coast and Magnificent Mile, ... drive down Michigan avenue, durine Covid and the shutdown and presently, there is a police SUV on every single corner, flashing blue, so you know that they are present ... at every intersection. I am so sick of how they keep telling people about crime being so prevalent. People ask me all of the time, if I feel safe going out. I walk my dog at 11pm at night, I keep my wits about me, but people are always out, this is Wrigleyville and Cubs play right down the street. I have lived her for 25 years and I have yet to see a crime. Not to say it doesn't happen, but it hasn't happened in front of me. So, that argument falls short.
Boggles the mind that the boob tube is a source of information nowadays. Whatever happened to curiosity and the seeking of facts via investigation that includes reading of sources that will illuminate the subject further. I have 2 televisions and the only time I watch news is to compare and contrast between legacy news and what the other side is feeding their viewers. I go to the library for newspapers I can no longer afford and the Internet for misinformation that I have to debunk. Basic curiosity seems to be bereft in some and I weep at the fact that knowledge is the casualty.
I liked the way you handled that call. While listening to the caller was irritating, it was gratifying to see how you dismantled his arguments one by one. I'm glad that he didn't resort to name-calling so that you didn't have to curse him out.
Interesting topic. After my wealthy father in-law passed, certain members of his family misled people on how he died. They had not allowed his friends and family to visit him in the hospital where he was passing from cancer. They altered his estate with the cooperation of the trust attorney and accountants they sent the money offshore. Some of the money included money in a company that was due to me. Instead they forged my signature and transferred into a trust sending it offshore. I never got it back. They made sure I was financially destroyed. Then they tried to figure out how to get me declared “incompetent” but I was handling a breeding farm with multiple stallions at the time. One can’t be incompetent and handle stallions - you would die. One of the barn hands who had multiple interactions with the criminal justice system told me to take the everything to the cops. So I did. The information was turned over to the police including tracking the money through multiple foreign accounts. I already had gone a to the IRS with the info trying to get help but the IRS said they didn’t have the auditors who were trained to get OFFSHORE money. WTH! So - I sent the info to my Democratic Representative and send “fix this” why shouldn’t the US be collecting the taxes from these rich jerks because the IRS doesn’t have the auditors to do it. I wasn’t a financial person and I could trace it. Because of a something stupid a son of one of the barn guys did the Feds ended up at my place. When they checked with the local police, there was all that paperwork and tax documents and overseas documents in evidence. They picked up it and the death certificate that I had turned into the police to prove that my late father in law could not have transferred the money offshore as the others claimed. Didn’t help me but when Biden went after offshore money think of all the women whose husband’s thought they were “hiding the money” 🤣🤣😜 I personally know of another one. All that money - why should it not be taxed ????? They made it here tax them
