Billy from the Great Socialist Welfare (Redundant) State of Oklahoma. This should be your greeting when he calls. Then fire off 'Bill, why has your state needed so much of MY MONEY over the last 43 years?' Curious to hear what his response might be, if he has one. Oklahoma, just another Failed Red State.

If you want some numbers to throw at him, 1981-2005: averaged $1.24 Return on Federal Tax Dollar. 1981-2015: averaged $1.26 Return on Federal Tax Dollar. 1981-2020: averaged $1.32 Return on Federal Tax Dollar. Got significantly worse in those last 5 years. Looks like Socialism to me. Billy's problems are staring back at him in the mirror each morning.

Yes, I referred to welfare states and donor stats again, yesterday, and mentioned you, as we were discussing the welfare state of Texas now wanting to fight the federal government and get the other welfare states to join in, using the National Guard.

I was in the kitchen with my wife when we heard that yesterday. High fives.

I was thinking this morning that 'donor' state is maybe the wrong term, unless I use it sarcastically. It implies a choice. Of course, the right is not big on 'choice' is it, but in this case, no one ever asked me, or you in New York, if we were interested in sending a chunk of our hard earned Federal Taxes to a grotesque number of Chronically Failed Red states. It just IS, and has been for 159 years, though I can only document back to 1981. We know however, how Reconstruction was set up.

Now we just have this 'thing' happening in the financial background each year where billions of dollars from the Successful Blue Donor States, plus the one successful Red State, are quietly redistributed to a bunch of states who now actually think they are a success! We need to hammer them with what a crock of shit that is. My grandparents, aunts and uncles in Brooklyn paid for them, my father, brother and cousin in Brooklyn paid for them and now I get to pay for them from the Bay Area. Never has anyone asked if I was interested in 'donating' to these states.

Maybe I need another term.

These states may want to 'fight the federal government', but we're the ones paying for it. Along with razor wire in the Rio Grande and planes full of immigrants. We need to start talking about where our successful Blue state money is going. Cutting their asses off financially won't happen any time soon, but at least we can throw things back in their faces.

Thanks

Too many words for Billy to process at once

That may be, but repeating things, the common right wing tactic, like welfare, socialism and failure, even as dim a bulb as Billy will start to get the message. No reason to ease up on them.

The responses, if they even have one, ought to be really interesting.

I'm just tired of paying for these failures. They actually think they are successful because they have no clue how much they've been subsidized by Successful Blue States. You and me.

The Red States are run by White People, but they're Failures. They are an overwhelming concentration of Christian Nationalists, yet they are Failures. 159 yeas of Failure. For the most part, these states have never been able to take care of themselves. Texas was fine for a long time but now, even Texas is a Welfare State. The Red States are just not good Americans. Good Americans don't leach off of others. And that's where we are with the Red States.

all I can say is you can't fix stupid. If you voted for Trump in 2016, 2020, and if you intend to in 2024, you are stupid!! he doesn't care about you, he is a narcissistic prick, he has always been one!! it is always about him. I can't get my head around how he has any followers except that they are stupid!! All I can say is it is a cult, but I think things are starting to really implode.

Katie Phang made a good point yesterday about how he gives cover to people like him, especially men, to be as awful as they want to be. Basket of deplorables and stupid that you can't fix.

Hillary hit the nail with calling them “deplorables”; they refuse to face the truth about their “leader” as deplorable cultists would.

Trump is a champion b.s. artist and con man who has no policies -- only making fun of other people. If people think this is a sign of leadership, they are stupid. We can't fix that. We can only hope is that people ask what the orange criminal did for them during his reign of stupidity.

He tried to provoke you, Mike, but you didn't take the bait. Once Biden is reelected and Democrats take back the House and expand the Senate, they need to do something about this runaway train of corporate propaganda media, including social media. The alternate reality that people like Billy live in has become too mainstream. I hope against hope that the right wing echo chamber will become fringe once again.

I think the fairness doctrine needs to be brought back, when Reagan dismantled that it ushered in the likes Fox news, Newsmax, and OAN. It is ridiculous!! also, we need to figure how to deprogram these people who believe the bullshit and post nonsense.

Texas, Oklahoma, doesn't really matter. Both are Welfare States. Texas slipped into Welfare State status starting in 2016. And their numbers are going up, as is the case with ALL the Welfare States. The situation is getting worse, not better. And, in 2005, there were 19 Donor States, paying more Federal Tax than they received in Federal Spending. In 2021, there were 9 Donor States. Why are Blue Donor State taxes high? They have to give away more and more money to Failed Red States.

Hi Mike, I don’t know how you do it Mike, but you are most of the time very patient with folks like Billy the Idiot.. You bring facts, logic and concise language to people like Billy the Idiot. These folks are are in a MAGA information silo through FAUX, OAN, Newsmax or any number of MAGA YouTube videos.. I would really appreciate it if you could ask folks like Billy the Idiot…. Do you live in the basement of your parent home, do you have a job, do you have a significant other? Thank you Mike for all you do.

It’s very he only cares about himself. He doesn’t care about the country just being a dictator. It’s all about him and trying his best to sabotage president Biden‘s administration, no matter what cost. He’s been trying to sabotage his ministration since day one. That’s not someone who cares about the country it’s someone who only cares about themselves and their power. If it weren’t for his cüLt base…if he didn’t have them…. the GOP would drop him like a hot potato 🥔 a long time ago! Those who believe that the world wasn’t on fire when Trump was in office, need to but refuse to open up their eyes and look around the entire globe 🌎.

As I always say…. We need to blow this out of the park 2024!

How many more people are willing to work for Trump and risk everything?

Trump is a supporter of CRINK, which is China, Russia, Iran and North Korea. CRINK's plan is to create regional wars (Syria, Ukraine, Gaza and more to come) and support each other. The west will be drained of military hardware and money, in the same way Reagan started Star Wars and spent the Soviet Union into bankruptcy. (Putin never forgot that). Part of the plan is to create refugees who will then attempt to enter the free democracies of Europe and the US, which together with the disinformation coming out of CRINK, destabilizes their democracies. Several congress people also support CRINK, known collectively as the Freedom Caucus.

If Trump gets into power, he will align the US with CRINK against the EU. All I can say is you ain't seen nothing yet.
