This ws powerful. Not making case as much as just taking leadership. Hits on the issues people are grappling with, and laying it to Trump. Mostly, it’s human, discussing loss people have faced, relating to it. Something Trump can never do. Whatever you say about Biden, everything he says is fueled with emotion — grief, anger, love, whatever.it’s just something Trump cannot do. It’s missing in our leadership at this moment. And Biden took it hard to Trump.
Biden is doing great. Drawing on FDR, crisis he faced. And then talking of 4 crises — pandemic, economy, racial injustice and climate change. Trump "takes no responsibility, refuses to lead, cozies up to dictators…Is that the America you want?” Talks like a human being about losing loved ones, like those in the pandemic. And discussing the economic calamity.
Overall I thought the convention was great, and better than any convention of the past -- and I've been to all of them, covering them, for many years. Democrats really studied this and had little time. They did an amazing job. I think for the the future, when they have even more planning, they can do this even better.
It also might have been that we were so hungry for leadership, and community -- connecting with the like-minded and leaders, in the middle of this pandemic, in a way that was still intimate. So who knows if it would be he same in another time. But we'll see.
We'll be discussing it all on my SiriusXM show and also -- the Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, testified before Congress this morning, and more on Bannon's arrest. A lot to discuss!
I’m proud to be a Democrat especially when I see the comments from the children, the common man and woman and our new and old political leaders. (I just wish that John Lewis was here to see Kamala and Joe nominated)! Best, Sandra
I am ready to get the Convention behind me. We need to put our energies into ensuring the USPS is fully capable of dealing with mail-in ballots, this is the crucial issue now. We have to focus on the weeks ahead to ensure that people are motivated & encourageD to vote and to be prepared to deal with the tRump onslaught of lies and “nasty” actions. Let’s do it !

I know some people are jarred by Julia Louis-Dreyfus but I like it -- we need a bit of laughter between the crying.
